My Rainbow Year
Every year I try to focus my creative energy and wonderment by picking a color for the year. It’s kind of like picking a pair of glasses with tinted lenses and seeing the world a little differently for that section of time. It helps me engage with life in a fresh way. This year, 2025 was different. It is my rainbow year.
If you just call it purple, you can match a color of the rainbow with every two months of the year. Every two months I attempted to create art of that designated months’ color and look into the color meanings for each color as I went.
Sunsets became rainbow skies. Life events became divine encounters. The timings that some of these projects had aligning with their colors were at times cathartic, inspiring, and sometimes just a little break from monotony.
